Deepak Chopra has signed a multi-project podcast development deal with Audible. The first episode of the “Mind Body Zone: Living Outside the Box” podcast is set to be released this September. The 12-episode podcast features Chopra in conversation with a number of influential leaders in the wellness space.The deal represents a major investment in the expansion of Audible’s original wellness content.
Audioburst has launched Finder (Beta) in collaboration with the largest podcast conference, Podcast Movement 2021. A keyword search across podcast episodes allows visitors to find and listen to engaging audio "bursts" (bite-sized clips), sampling content before subscribing. An integrated social sharing feature enables listeners to share their favorite bursts directly to social media, thereby distributing the podcast to entirely new audiences.
Amaze Media Labs, has acquired Jam Street Media. Jam Street is a noted producer of branded podcasts known for being content hits and tying into high profile brands. High-profile brands include: Esteé Lauder Companies, Ford Motor Company, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Vertex, and BetMGM.
HBO is planning to release its new Batman podcast as an in-app exclusive. The scripted show, which features Jeffrey Wright as Batman and Rosario Dawson as Batwoman, will premiere this fall. HBO also announced other new, forthcoming podcasts including a scripted sequel to Issa Rae’s Looking For Latoya, called We Stay Looking.
Audry, the social network for podcasters, has partnered with the radio imaging and voiceover company Benztown to offer a suite of products to improve the sound of their podcasts. The partnership will provide Audry members with a specially priced starter audio production kit that will allow them to access Benztown's audio production resources for podcasters.
Stitcher and SiriusXM have signed Eric Eddings and Brittany Luse for the relaunch of their popular Black culture show For Colored Nerds which is expected to premiere later this year.
Streaming audio platform Vurbl has entered an agreement with DAX as the exclusive third-party direct reseller of VurBL audio inventory in the United States. Vurbl joins DAX’s U.S. roster alongside streaming platforms including TuneIn, Cumulus Broadcast, AccuRadio and Audiomack.
