Libsyn has announced the acquisition of Glow, a leading podcast monetization platform that enables podcasters to build membership programs and generate listener-supported revenue. Glow’s membership technology, which includes private feed distribution and subscription billing, will allow podcasters on Libsyn’s 75,000+ podcasts to benefit from new monetization features and tap into significant new revenue streams.
AdsWizz has reached the milestone of over 1 billion monthly downloads from its audio platform. The platform is used by leading media companies and podcast publishers including NPR, The New York Times, NBCUniversal News Group, American Public Media, Stitcher & PodcastOne.
Vox Media announced the acquisition of Cafe Studios, the podcast company co-founded by Preet Bharara, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. It is Vox Media’s fourth merger or acquisition in the last three years.
Spotify is rolling out Top Podcasts and Trending Podcasts Charts in 26 markets. Also, on Spotify, an updated podcasting experience is also launching, with creators receiving a notification into a visual card to share across social media, alerting fans to their rise in popularity.
